Objective: To assist the design team in their workflow through which you will learn the design process and earn the opportunity to advance.
Experience required: none
Pay: $15 per hour plus $0.60 per mile
Mostly predictable hours Monday to friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The perfect candidate will have the occasional ability to be flexible to accommodate an unusual circumstance (e.g. a client needs samples delivered at 6:30 pm on Tuesday so sleep in a little and work 10:30-6:30 that day)
General Requirements: transportation is a must. You will be using your vehicle to run errands like picking up material samples, small-medium materials/furniture orders, delivering construction binders, etc.
Duties:
Order/Sample pick up
Taking project photos
Printing assembling, and delivering design proposals and construction binders
Logging and labeling material samples
Maintaining and ordering office/warehouse supplies
Materials research (if you see a new product roll out at our favorite tile shop we want to know!)
Receiving deliveries at our warehouse and project locations
Intellectual Requirements
ability to prioritize endlessly changing and growing task lists without being overwhelmed
ready and willing to shift focus if the need arises to reprioritize tasks
thrive in fast-paced environment but not easily bored when things slow down
willing to sit in traffic running errands across the metroplex
not afraid to get a little dirty handling dusty materials and walking active construction sites
Unbothered by varying daily agenda
Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to work on your feet or sitting in your car for extended periods depending on the agenda for the day
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs individually
